Staff Instructor

Progress in your diving career and become a Staff Instructor with Divo Pro Academy. As a Staff Instructor you are certified to teach the PADI Assistant Instructor Course and to assist on full PADI IDC's and PADI Specialty Instructor training programs.

We run our Staff Instructor Course every month. You will be brushed up on your theoretical knowledge and audit an IDC to gain better presentation techniques and assessment practices.

Small groups

As with our other courses, we have a student limit for every instructor. This guarantees personal attention and all the time you need to develop and train to be you the best Staff Instructor you can be.

Assisting full IDC

During your Staff Instructor training, you will assist a full IDC under the supervision of an experienced Course Director. This will give you the knowledge and experience to assist IDC's all around the world.

Support and mentorship

One of our personal favourite features is our extensive and vast experience in all fields of the Scuba Diving field. As our student, you will benefit from this experience and the personal mentorship of our complete staff.

Prerequisites

To be able to assist as a Staff Instructor in the IDC, there are certain prerequisites. You have to be:

18 years or older
Be an active PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer
You need proof of CPR and First Aid training within the last 24 months
Be physically fit for diving
Submit a Medical Statement signed by a physician within the last 12 months.

Additional costs and deposit

We require a non-refundable deposit of 5.000 THB. The open balance is to be paid in full upon arrival.

Required additional costs before starting the IDC are:

The purchase a PADI Course Director Manual, as well as your own sets of confined Open Water and Open Water Assessment Slates. We can offer these for a discounted price of 15,500 THB.

Upon completion, there will be additional fees to paid to PADI:
