Master Scuba Diver Trainer

As a Master Scuba Diver Trainer you set yourself apart as a serious and committed Scuba Dive Instructor. Being an MSDT means that you have the experience, certifications and ability to instruct specialty courses to teach Master Scuba Divers.

At Dive Pro Academy, we offer MSDT internships to prepare and guide you in the steps towards reaching this goal. The internship normally lasts around 1 month, immediately following the IDC. This is however not mandatory, as an OWSI you can apply to become an MSDT whenever suits you best.

Being an MSDT is an extremely relevant rating in your dive career, as it is a prerequisite for becoming a Staff Instructor as well as different TecRec Instructor ratings. Get in touch to organise the start of your personalised MSDT training.

Core knowledge and understanding

Thanks to our experienced and knowledgeable instructors, we will make sure you fully understand the Specialty outlines and the academic part of all the specialties of your choice.

Workshops

Whilst attending the MSDT internship, you will attend workshops build around acquiring a vast amount of teaching materials and learning how to schedule and plan your courses.

Get comfortable teaching

During the course of your internship, we will provide you with one on one feedback. This will improve your teaching style and refine your techniques.

Prerequisites

To be able to participate in the MSDT internship, there are certain prerequisites. You have to be:

18 years or older
Be a certified PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor or be an instructor with another training organisation for at least six months
25 PADI certifications
At least 5 Specialty Course Instructor certifications
You need proof of CPR and First Aid training within the last 24 months
Be physically fit for diving
Submit a Medical Statement signed by a physician within the last 12 months.

Costs

Standard package

22.000 THB

Included in the Standard package are:

Training in 4 Speciality Instructor Courses (1 is already included in the IDC)
Team teaches on an Open Water Diver course
Team teaches on an Advanced Open Water Diver course
Team teaches on an additional continuing education course
Discover Scuba Diving sessions as well as some Discover Scuba Diving sessions
An absolute minimum of 8 certifications, although it is very likely you will end up collecting more than this

Additional costs and deposit

We require a non-refundable deposit of 5.000 THB. The open balance is to be paid in full upon arrival.

Upon completion, there will be additional fees to paid to PADI:
